High Protein Dunkaroo Dip - A Fun, Better-For-You Snack

Prep Time 10 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes
Servings: 8 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain nonfat or 2% Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup vanilla protein powder (whey or plant-based)
  • 2 tablespoons almond flour or oat flour (for cake-like texture)
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sweetener of choice (powdered sugar, monk fruit, or a blend), more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract (optional but highly recommended for that funfetti flavor)
  • 1–2 tablespoons milk of choice (dairy or unsweetened almond milk), as needed for consistency
  • 2 tablespoons rainbow sprinkles (jimmies work best)
  • Pinch of salt

Method

  1. Whisk the base: In a medium bowl, whisk Greek yogurt until smooth and fluffy. This helps your dip feel lighter, like frosting.
  2. Add dry ingredients: Stir in the vanilla protein powder, almond or oat flour, powdered sweetener, and a pinch of salt. Mix until no dry pockets remain.
  3. Flavor it: Add vanilla extract and almond extract. The almond extract is what gives that classic funfetti note. Start with 1/4 teaspoon if you’re sensitive, then adjust.
  4. Adjust texture: Add 1 tablespoon milk and stir. If you prefer a looser, dunkable dip, add the second tablespoon. If you like it thicker, skip it.
  5. Fold in sprinkles: Gently fold in 1 tablespoon of sprinkles, reserving the rest for topping so they stay vibrant.
  6. Chill briefly (optional): Refrigerate for 15–30 minutes to help flavors meld and the texture set.
  7. Serve: Top with remaining sprinkles and serve with your favorite dippers.
